The IndyPL leadership has committed to the development of facilities that support the concepts of collaboration, exploration, vibrancy, energy, lifelong learning and the library as a partner in addressing local issues.
As part of this commitment and the allocation of future capital improvement resources, IndyPL asked RATIO, MS&R, S.R. Kent, and the Sextant Group to develop a guide for the continued planning and design of new and renovated branch facilities.
The Master Plan describes the goals and priorities for space needs for each of the 22 branch facilities, as well as proposed new branch locations.
The goal in the design of these facilities is to allow for the associated operational and functional activities, reflected through open, bright, innovative and exciting spaces that mark the library as a civic and community center.
