Originally designed in 1922, Huff Hall serves as the home for UIUC’s College of Applied Health Sciences. The University sought additional space for academic programming while continuing with the original architect’s vision for the building.
RATIO’s design for the resulting Khan Annex is consistent with the historic architecture of Huff Hall, preserving the character of the existing building.
The addition adds nearly 24,000 sq. ft. of interdisciplinary research spaces and associated support areas. Instructional space for the Masters in Public Health program, faculty offices, dry laboratories and numerous seminar rooms all enhance the College of Applied Health Sciences and support the newly-formed Center for Health, Aging and Disabilities.
