Today the American Institute of Architects announced Lora Teagarden, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, as a 2017 Young Architects Award Recipient. The award "honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the architecture profession early in their careers." Lora is the first woman from the state of Indiana to win the award (see a map of previous honorees by location below).
Since joining RATIO in the summer of 2015, Lora has grown quickly within the firm and her community to hold an array of leadership positions, including elected board positions for Young Architect's Forum (National) and AIA Indianapolis. Highly active in both the local and online architecture communities, Lora has used her unique social media skillset in a variety of roles, including as the voice of RATIO on social media.
RATIO congratulates Lora and her fellow 2017 award recipients. Read more about the program and the rest of this year's winners at ArchitectMagazine.com.
