Yesterday the University of Georgia officially dedicated its new 106,000 sq. ft. Indoor Athletic Facility.
Despite being a perennial national title contender and home to one of the country's most prestigious football programs, Georgia was the last school in the SEC without a training facility of this kind. The building is the first of several upgrades the University has planned for its athletic facilities, according to the Macon, GA, Telegraph.
Speaking of its impact on both current players and recruits, Head Football Coach Kirby Smart said, "You never realize it can become this. We’re glad it has. It helped a lot in recruiting... It’s a special place, one of the most beautiful in the country. That speaks volumes to our commitment to athletics and also to football."
