The largest state-funded project in Indiana State University's history — the addition/renovation of the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) facility — is open for classes.
CHHS brings together previously scattered academic units into one signature facility for the School of Nursing and the interrelated Departments of Social Work, Applied Health Sciences, Applied Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Kinesiology Recreation and Sport.
The new four-story 85,000 sq. ft. first-phase addition includes program specialties such as an outpatient clinic, a biomechanics center, exercise physiology lab, therapeutic and neuro labs, applied health science and motor skills lab, physical education and training, faculty offices, graduate research suite, the Dean’s office and a wellness garden courtyard.
The 100,000 sq. ft. second phase renovation highlights the complete rehabilitation of the University’s aquatic and hydrotherapy pool, expands and resurfaces the existing 200-meter indoor track into a regulation 8-lane competition venue, and showcases two 150-person tiered lecture halls alongside a nursing simulation suite and nursing skills lab.
For more than two decades, we have worked to realize ISU’s vision of inclusive excellence in areas as diverse as academics, athletics, and student life. Working throughout the campus, our firm has designed a wide variety of project types that speak to ISU’s commitment to its students, faculty, and its community.
These include the ongoing Strategic Campus Master Panning and completed projects like the Track and Field Stadium, Welcome Center, Union Banquet Facility, Sycamore Towers renovation and the Arena/HHS building reinvention.
